If you’re a fine fizz fan, we’d like to direct your attention to England (yes!), where a growing number of quality-obsessed producers are making superb Champagne rivals.
And this one is English sparkling’s true ‘crowning’ glory.
It was grown at the greatest château of them all (and the oldest inhabited castle in the world), Windsor. Vineyards were planted here in the 12th century for Henry II. Fast forward 850 years, and Tony Laithwaite has been permitted by The Crown Estate and Royal Farms to revive this ancient vineyard tradition.
It was front-page news when this secret little vineyard’s existence leaked out. Our customers have exclusive access to the “destiny-laden bubbly” it produces, a wine which Hugh Johnson says pushed English fizz to “a new peak of excitement.”
And speaking of excitement, Decanter World Wine Awards judges have rated this stunning 2016 release 94 points: “Deliciously refreshing...Elegant with power and length.”
International Wine Challenge judges were also fans, rating it 90 points: “Fragrant citrus, apple and brioche. A delicious style, creamy, soft, fruit and long.”
Sparkling wine enthusiasts have snapped up every last drop each time we’ve offered this elegant bubbly. Don’t miss your chance to secure a bottle of the latest release. Perfect for very special occasions.
