The Rustler Chenin Blanc 2019
South Africa has become the “most dynamic wine-producing country in the world right now.”
– Tim Atkin, Master of Wine
We’re taking you there, with this lip-smacking Chenin Blanc – the star white grape variety in South Africa’s world-class Western Cape. It hails from the premium Overberg district and talented winemaker Gerald Swart.
Inspired by local legend Angus “The Good Rustler” McLean, the wine has a history of winning high praise from international judges. Top critics The Wine Gang called it “textbook stuff – fresh and leafy with apple-scented fruit, a gentle, honeyed straw nuttiness, and lime zest acidity. Good as an apéritif, but also works with creamy sauces, shellfish, and anything with a light touch of ginger or chili.”
Don’t miss the newly released 2019, an exciting taste of what the Overberg region – and gorgeous South Africa – has to offer. And, be sure to read Angus McLean’s story on the back label – it will have you toasting to well-intentioned “rustlers” everywhere.
