The Creamery Chardonnay 2016
With a name like The Creamery, it should come as no surprise that this is a lusciously rich Chardonnay. If you’re a fan of the style, you’re in for a real treat …
The Creamery hails from Santa Barbara, one of California’s premier Chardonnay districts, and the superb 2016 harvest, which is “another terrific year for California,” writes critic Jeb Dunnuck.
Look forward to aromas of ripe apricot, white peach, and soft honeysuckle. Light barrel aging (combined with the secondary, malolactic fermentation) adds flavors of honey, toast, and vanilla biscuit, plus a creamy-smooth texture. It’ll make a tasty match for equally creamy cheeses or pasta dishes.
