The Archduke Alexander Valley Old Vine Zinfandel 2019
Award Winner
San Francisco International Wine Competition
Silver – 2021
Zinfandel is California’s signature red, and we’re thrilled to present this gorgeous example. The Archduke hails from the historic J Rickards Vineyard, dating back to 1908, in Sonoma’s premium Alexander Valley. In-the-know Cabernet fans head to this tiny, northeastern corner of Sonoma because it specializes in ripe, complex flavors (and Napa-beating values). As you’ll taste, it’s also aces with Zin, earning it a shiny silver from the San Francisco International Wine Competition.
The gnarled, old vines produced seriously concentrated grapes—thanks, in part, to the great 2019 vintage—which resulted in a wine of beautiful depth and complexity. Look forward to ripe, dark berry flavors, plus intriguing spice and wild herb notes.
