Did you know that there’s another “P” in Italian bubbly? Introducing Pignoletto—the latest (must-have) new sparkler from The Boot.

Pignoletto is still super-rare in the U.S. (many sommeliers don’t even know about it) but you’ll be drinking ahead of the curve, thanks to our friend, and third-generation winemaker, Daniele Artioli.

Daniele crafted Pignello with Grechetto Gentile grapes—affectionally called pignoletto because the bunches resemble pigna (pinecones) found in local vineyards—like the those he once worked with his grandfather. And just like his nonno taught him, he’s put serious care and attention into this elegant bubbly.

Pignello is light and fresh, with an effervescent stream of bubbles, expressive floral aromas and ripe, orchard-fruit/lemony flavors. Made in a deliciously dry, crisp style, it’s very food friendly and ready to add sparkle to any occasion. If Prosecco is the Goliath of Italian fizz, then Pignoletto is the David. (And we all know how that story ended.)
