Le Grand Chai Reserve Édition Anniversaire Blanc 2018
The reds get most of the attention, but France’s storied Bordeaux region is also home to some of the world’s most refreshing and complex whites. We’re pleased to present this lovely Réserve Anniversaire from Le Chai au Quai, “a fabulous venture” (Decanter) on the Right Bank of the Dordogne River.
The cellar’s special-edition Réserve was crafted by Le Chai’s head winemaker, Jean-Marc Sauboua, who trained at First Growth Château Haut-Brion (which goes for $700-plus a bottle). Made with Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon from some of Jean-Marc’s favorite growers, it offers waves of crisp citrus flavor, with oak aging adding subtle notes of vanilla-spice.
Ready to impress on its own or when served with roasted turkey, rich seafood dishes, and more.
