Heredad Chavarri Albariño 2018

You may recognize Ruth Chavarri’s name – she’s the talented, fifth-generation winemaker behind some of our most popular Rioja reds. But Ruth’s actually a bigger fan of refreshing whites – so when her family recently invested in Rías Baixas (on Spain’s northwest coast … it’s the place for Albariño), she jumped at the opportunity.

This super-fresh 2018 was cool-fermented – a fancy winemaking process which locks in intense aromas, like the lovely floral and herbal notes you’ll notice here. The wine then rested on its lees for nine months before bottling, producing more tropical aromas and flavors, wrapped around a lovely texture.
