Drawbridge Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Award Winner

San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
Gold Medal - 2018 US

Cabernet Sauvignon can be a bit serious (and pricey), but savvy California Cab fans know that there are also serious values to be had – and here’s one of them. Crafted in a rich, easy-drinking style, Drawbridge boasts all of the smooth, bold flavor Cab lovers crave at an equally delicious price.

Born out of California’s latest excellent vintage, 2016, Drawbridge is the handiwork of talented local winemaker Matt Praetzel, who sourced the Cabernet from top spots throughout Lodi (Wine Enthusiast’s 2015 Wine Region of the Year), where premium soils and an ideal climate help the grapes ripen to perfection. Last vintage, it scooped up a gold medal at the 2017 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition – and we’re expecting equally impressive things from the exciting new release.

Look forward to ripe bramble fruit aromas, leading to a soft, juicy palate that overflows with blackberry flavor, gentle oaky spice and rounded tannins without any harsh edge. Drawbridge is right at home with grilled steaks, pasta Bolognese or well-seasoned burgers.
