Bambera de Barbadillo 2017
This new discovery embodies the lively spirit of Andalucia – the sizzling, sunny region of southern Spain. It’s the birthplace of Bambera (a Flamenco dance) and fine Sherry. It’s also home to ripe, hugely concentrated reds …
Bambera de Barbadillo dances off with awards year after year – no surprise given its provenance. It hails from Bodegas Barbadillo: family-owned since 1821, winner of Guía Peñin’s Winery of the Year title (2015), and producer of Sherry that wins 100 Parker points: “They are constantly innovating and experimenting.”
For this full-bodied red, talented winemaker Montse Molina selected her best Tempranillo, Merlot, and Shiraz. In the glass, you’ll find waves of dark berries and an ultra-smooth, fruity finish. It’s exactly the kind of ‘black red’ our customers go crazy for.
