We love finding wines with a smart “next door” story, but this one might top them all…

Vallino is the pride and joy of the Nuti family, who bought their first plot of land, La Regola, back in 1900. Four generations later, they’re still going strong, winning huge acclaim, and proving they can pull their weight in a category packed with very strong contenders. Le Regola lies just up the hill from the vineyards of Tenuta San Guido – home of legendary Sassicaia – the wine that launched the Super Tuscan style and propelled it to worldwide stardom.

All that fame usually comes with a hefty price tag, though. Sassicaia 2015 sells for $250+ a bottle, which is one of the many reasons why Vallino is such a phenomenal buy.

Especially in a year like 2015. Critics consider it one of Tuscany’s best ever. And, they're not shy on their praise for Vallino. Expert James Suckling raves that in 2015, “everything is simply outstanding,” and calls Vallino “a rather sleek red with nice richness. 90 points.”

This fine Cabernet-Sangiovese was hand harvested, hand sorted and aged in fine oak for a year. You’ll enjoy aromas of “spice, black fruit and cherry with a big and bold palate…and a long finish. 91 points.” (Decanter).

Still need convincing? Here’s The Wine Advocate: “Ripe and dark fruit tones with ample spice and tobacco…it does not shy away in terms of richness and concentration. 91 points.”
